Lionbridge Announces Availability of VeriTest Certification Service for Windows Vista
Now in its 12th Year, Lionbridge’s VeriTest Certification Service to Validate and Test Applications for Integration with the New Version of Microsoft’s Operating System
WALTHAM, Mass., December 14, 2006 -- Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LIOX) today announced that Microsoft has chosen its VeriTest testing division as a provider of testing and validation services for independent software vendors (ISVs) seeking the Microsoft Certified for Windows Vista status for their applications. VeriTest pioneered product certification testing together with Microsoft in 1994, and is an authorized lab for many Microsoft certification programs today. The test services from VeriTest enable current and prospective ISV members of the Windows partner ecosystem to quickly and cost-effectively ensure that their applications meet the Microsoft specifications.
Lionbridge VeriTest was one of many industry partners that worked with Microsoft to establish the Windows Vista certification specification and test plan. The specification is both a blueprint for best Windows Vista development practices as well as the standard by which applications will be measured against for eligibility to carry the Certified for Windows Vista logo, and earn additional partner marketing benefits from Microsoft.

The Certified for Windows Vista program is the latest in a series of certification and testing programs with VeriTest.
